We wanted to enlarge a photograph or two of our vacation memories to display in our home. Tara carefully listened to me, asked many questions concerning the size of the space to be used, the available lighting, and the size of the desired photographic art. Tara looked at the array of photographs I provided. Her artist's eye was drawn to a view of Kee Beach taken from the Kalalau Trail, Kauai and Brewster Park above the Rio Grande Reservoir, Colorado. Tara helped me select CanvasGallery Wrap on MetaliicCanvas as the best presentation of these photographs. Jack Wilson, Proprietor and Tara's Dad, added the perfect digital color enhancement to my new 20"x30" art displays. When unveiled in their shop, I was shocked at the stunning quality of my new art! Brilliant work by all the talented folks in this art shop!! ~ Paul Dotson

This is K. Miller of Wichita great grandpa Thomas Whittemore Mitchell, born Feb. 9, 1834 Milo, ME and died Nov. 10, 1915 , Burlingame, Ks.. He was Union 5th Kansas Cavalry Co D.  Enlisted August 7, 1861 and Mustered out Sept. 5th, 1864.

Jack,  When I was in last week and saw the framed picture, I'm sure that my mouth dropped open.  That is beyond words how that tiny tintype looking like it does could look like that, just adds to the skills that you have to do it.  I took a picture of it with your daughter.  My sons would like to have me get a picture with the two of us standing by it and also one of me with great grandfather...  Thanks. ~ Kenneth Miller

"Art & Frame did a beautiful job on a shadow box for my 85 year old mother. Both my mother and stepfather are retired from SouthWestern Bell which became AT&T. For years I had been storing and packing their service pins and other SW Bell memorabilia in a box. I had always feared they would be lost and thought about doing something with them so my mother could enjoy them. I went to Art & Frame and they designed and chose framing and matting for the most beautiful shadow/memory box you could imagine! My mother will be truly proud to display this beautiful conversation piece! Thank you Art & Frame!"

"When a gallery we went to closed, we asked the owner where we would go now to have pieces framed-who would she trust her art pieces to for framing? Art & Frame, she replied-only-Art & Frame.  She was right.  They worked with mom to choose materials that would not only protect & preserve her piece, but add to the beauty of her piece.  It turned out perfect-just like we knew it would. Looking forward to the next piece they finish." ~ Sue L. Christensen

"Just FYI, the family all loved our vintage photo grouping, and wished we had made one for them (we have a big family, so we told them we could always do more, if they wanted to pay - no takers yet on that one)."

"This picture is a treasure to our family, as the individuals in the picture, now deceased, were powerful motivators for many within the family. They gave freely of their time, their talents and resources to all of us.  These pictures were at the very beginning of their marriage when John was getting ready to go off to war (WWII).  The family was very touched by seeing how much they were in love even during those early years of their marriage.  They deeply loved each other for many, many years - again setting up a model for the whole family.  Thanks, Jack, for restoring and producing this work of art to commemorate these two very special people." Linda Mitchel

"I wanted something to remember the concert I went to for years to come, something I could display to show friends and family when they come over. After brainstorming some ideas with Tara I left it in her hands and I couldn't be happier with the results. Everything just pops! The people there are easy to work with and they have great communication. This was the second project I brought to Art & Frame and I'm sure I'll be back again with more."

The arts have long been an integral part of my life from drawing, painting, singing, acting to playing an instrument.  If it was an artform, I was involved.  Through it all, the pencil was a favorite and foundation for all I created."
Earning a BFA in drawing & painting from Kansas University  and a masters in teaching from Friends University led to a teaching career where I could share my passion for the arts with public school students.
Recently, I began a home-based art business that encompasses commissioned works, gallery shows, regional and international competitions and private lessons.
In addition, I am teaching digital photography to students across the state of Kansas for Manhattan-Ogden’s online academy and ceramics and beginning art for Andover public schools.
Currently, I am creating a series of drawings focusing on the reflective nature of metal using colored pencil.  I use a muli-layer color application technique in a highly realistic manner.  This work is entitled ‘107 Cubic Inches’.  The drawing has been juried into the 18th Annual International Exhibition 2010 sponsored by the Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA) in Los Gatos, CA. at The Art Museum of Los Gatos.
Art & Frame has framed the bulk of my work and is recommended to my clients for all of their framing needs.  With the consulting of ‘A & F’, we used a new line of ‘car-finish’ – like framing to further enhance the visual impact of this work.  It is this attention to detail that leads me to ‘A & F’ for my framing needs.

"In 2006 I served as a Peace Corps volunteer in South Africa.  While there, I lived with the Sibiya family in Gemsbokspruit, Mpumalanga.  The title of this watercolor is "Gogo moMkhulu", which means "Grandma and Grandpa" in isiNbebele.  One afternoon I asked Gogo if I could take a photo of the two of them together  they seemed to disappeared for awhile, but then emerged from the house wearing their traditional Ndebele beads. "I am excited to share your website with my South African relatives who can access the internet.  Thanks, and I look forward to having you do more framing for me!" ~Angie
